I dont usually write reviews but felt compelled to let all know of this invaluable tool. If you do anything in the outdoors you need this app. If you travel you need this app. You may think that you dont need survival skills but I bet the people involved in recent disasters such as Sandy, Katrina, the tsunami, etc didnt think they needed them either. You need to be able to help yourself as well as others. Get it!

This App is the best survival book you could get for any price.

This is a good app and has everything you need to know to survive in the wilderness.

I installed the new update, then launched the app. From the main menu I tapped on the SAS Survival link. It went through a setup screen, then opened the guide. I then closed the app and tried it while my phone was in airplane mode. I then receive an error message that the app needs to be connected to the Internet for the first time setup, and I cannot get the guide to open. This is concerning, please fix ASAP!

...is as far as this update will get! I paid good money for this app which worked perfectly before! Now, all I get is the "Papertrell" logo and nothing more! I want the OLD app back!

I had bought this app ages back and loved it. Loved the change , as I was tired seeing the old design and addition on urban survival to it.

Its kind of ironic that a survival reference guide (outlining what to do in a SHTF situation) designed for a portable hand held device should now require an active WiFi connection to even be useable.

Please get rid of the ad on startup. Otherwise the content is great, the format is usable, even if a little cheesy.

This app offers comprehensive assessment of enough scenarios that it seems omniscient. Its inclusion of video in this format makes it easier to absorb info. Although, the ability to view these grainy videos (and photographs) in landscape mode should have been a no-brainer. In addition, I can understand the need for marketing, but I do not appreciate apps that market purchased items. Apps can be programmed to verify the existence of other apps on a device. All in all, I recommend this product as a good accompaniment to the book. BTW, In-App Purchases add value inside the app. Purchase is made inside the app for this to happen. In other words, additional features for the app are sold inside the app. Links to another app to buy a third app do not qualify as an In-App Purchase. The links are just part of an advertisement. And I did not see notice of In-App Advertisement (propaganda).

OK, I paid good money for this app and now I have to see an ad for an "Urban Survival Guide" every time I start this app. It will now be promptly removed from my phone. This was. Big disappointment, as it was one of my favorite apps.

Thanks for making this app completely useless with out a internet connection. It used to be four stars and now all it is good for is taking up space in my phones memory.

I want the old one back. The icons on the new one look ok, but the old ones were better. I paid good money for this app, and I dont want to see an add when I first start it.
